I CANT BE WHO U WANT ME TO BE CAUSE THAT AINT ME..
Here we go again a day with tattoos
Waking up in the morning looking at my body art
Thinking how does it define me as a person
The ink and message it sends out to people
Am I a renegade an outcast from society
A rebel with no hand cuffs from modern America
Does the world view me as
Careless,impulsive,reckless, and rebellious
Picturing the glances and stares from people passing
Wondering what are they thinking
Do I enjoy inflicting pain on my body
Are they thinking only if I had the guts
To exert my own personality in such a beautiful way
What is define as divine beauty untouched skin
Does my ink make me feel less intelligent
Why would I even ask myself that question
It empowers me
Don’t judge a book by its cover
Yea right that’s a saying programmed into us at birth
Don’t be yourself be afraid to live life and make choices
Be yourself not what someone else wants you to be
America land of the free
Home to some of the most judgmental people on earth
You can’t program me not I
